Monark Southwest proudly participated in a Habitat for Humanity build for the Borja family in west Phoenix. The Borjas, a family of seven, have been looking forward to having their own home and were honored to be selected for this build.

The Monark team helped with framing, hanging and nailing OSB, building the front porch columns, painting and raising a flagpole. The future homeowner and professional contractor, German, worked alongside the Monark team to help build his family’s home. The team also learned that a home from Habitat for Humanity is a hand-up and not a hand-out, as the future homeowners are required to put in 400 hours of sweat equity.

Monark Southwest had a great time and tremendous amount of fun working on this worthwhile cause.
